Guillaume Cooks Vegan has hit the (fairly humble) milestones of 25 recipes. I feel now is a good time for me to change the publication schedule from weekly to monthly. The next recipe will be published somewhen in September.
Iāve loved to write and share recipes I cook on a weekly basis, however it takes time. Time to shop for specific ingredients (for example, Iāve been struggling to find Thai basil around for a month), shooting pictures, writing the article (though not that much because I was used to writing a lot at my previous job). It also takes timeā¦ to eat what I cook. I need to constantly balance how much I can cook and save for later in the fridge and the freezer. I had come to a point where the freezer was full and I couldnāt pop any portions as I was eating what I had just cooked during the week. I felt I was stuck with the necessity to cook for the newsletter, and couldnāt experiment other food writersā recipes. And there are a lot of talented cookers on the Internet, whose recipes Iām looking forward trying (cf. No Frills Vegan, Conscious Rebhell, and of course Fit Green Mind). Posting on a weekly basis had also put a toll on the grocery shopping budget at times, since recipes are free and I donāt plan to go paid - this is currently a hobby for me, and I wish it stays so.
The change in publication schedule will have the benefit to free time for other projects I have, related to my professional career. And some happen to be tangential to cooking. Aligning all my projects on a monthly schedule will help me progress on all of them at the same time, too.
So, whatās next? I checked my tracker, and I already have 16 recipe ideas logged - not to mention Iām excited to share them over the coming months! Also, I have started to log non-recipe article ideas, to share about cookware, or being a vegan while travelling.

Over to you, now: whatās your top 3 recipes among the 25 published so far?
I'm excited to see what's in store for you, recipe or no recipe! And thanks for the shoutout too. I tried your garlic/ shallot/ lemongrass combo but with tempeh and it was a banger. I also tried a few different variations of your hummus, which inspired me to make "babagahummus" - a combo of baba ganoush and hummus haha!
I deeply understand the toll it takes to write and produce a recipe per week. Looking forward to your monthly posts!
